62 Wax Paintings created in 3 days!

62 paintings were produced in 3 days during an extremely intensive art course with Lora Murphy at The Art Hand. Encaustic….that’s painting with wax! The paintings were produced in a variety of styles from Egyptian portraits to abstract art. Many different mixed media techniques were used to embed images into the wax and on the final day the participants exhibited their artworks in The Art Hand.

Lora was assisted by artist Rebecca Jane Leech who is also a Ballymaloe trained chef. She also assisted Miranda Corcoran with vegetarian evening meals which were stunning. Participants travelled from as far as Cork, Clare, Offaly, Westmeath and Wexford and stayed locally for the duration of the course.
