Writers, Zine, Film, Stained Glass, Kids Art Classes, Art Parties and RIP Paddy Barron.

The next event for the WORDS writers group performing @ The Art Hand is November 6th at 7.45pm, however the deadline for submissions to the new WORDS Zine is October 20th. The Zine is a self published small circulation of original work by performers from the group and will feature prose, lyrics, comedy, reviews, scripts, letters etc. Full details on our website HERE.

We’re looking forward to the screening of the ‘Down the Ladder’ film at the Imagine festival on the 26th of October in Greyfriars Gallery and in the Waterford Film Festival in the Granville Hotel on the 9th of November at 8.30pm. We will be doing one more Stained Glass weekend course before the end of the year. Let us know if you’d like to do this. We will be selecting a date soon. Details of the last one are HERE.

Meanwhile the Kids art classes are in full swing with finger painting, still life and self portraits in clay recently. We are doing a kids art workshop in Tramore on Saturday the 26th of October at 2 pm as part of the Imagine Festival. The event is designed for 4 to 8 year olds and will be held in Talbot Street (behind the library). Admission €7 (family rates available) / Book at 087 1411442. Finally our condolences to the friends and family of the late great Paddy Barron of Dunhill who passed away recently. We are proud to have been acquainted with him over the last few weeks. Rest in Peace.
