Sand Art 2019!

Hi all, here are the latest solo artworks created by Sean Corcoran on The Copper Coast this year. The weather hasn’t been ideal due to the rain creating a lot of surface water on the beaches so the sand has normally been too wet. Some great low tides on the way next week so we’re hoping to get back on the sand then.

The video above shows ‘Eye Flower’ by Sean Corcoran on Bunmahon Beach. Despite the fact that it’s only 30 seconds long this little video is one of our all time favourites. Short and sweet and simple!

This one is called ‘Balance’. Sean chose a recent landslide at Kilmurrin Cove for its location. We could all do with a little balance in our lives! #StoneStacking #SandArt #Balance #KilmurrinCove #TheCopperCoast #Geopark

This one is called ‘Johnjoe’s Boat’ and was made by Sean on Bunmahon Beach. It features our neighbour Johnjoe Cleary! Despite a strong offshore wind we still managed to capture the final moments with the drone. #TheCopperCoast #ParadiseOnEarth #Waterford

We don’t update this news section very often so please follow The Art Hand on Facebook for the most up to date details of our artworks, events and opportunities.

Thank you. X
